Our Process

We have a tried and true process to help guide you through the development of your home. Of course, every project is a bit different. But, generally, these are the phases involved in building a Georgen Home.

Initial Meeting

Get to know each other. Learn about what you’re looking for and where you’d like to build. Answer questions.

Lending Meeting

Customer meets with a lender to determine approved loan amount.

Location Discussions

Customer reviews plat maps, walks available lots with Georgen Homes and real estate partner.

Customer picks lot/location to build.

Floor Plan Decisions

Customer reviews available floor plans. See our favorite plans »

Customer and Georgen Homes work together to tweak an existing plan or design a custom one.

Bid Development

Customer reviews and approves cost sheet with allowances for countertops, flooring, appliances, and more.

Floor Plan Finalization

Customer and Georgen Homes finalize floor plan.

Permitting

Georgen Homes submits floor plans to city or county for building permits. This process takes 4-6 weeks.

Staking

Builder stakes the home on the lot.

Customer reviews and approves stake placements.

Design

Customer receives list of Georgen Homes approved vendors.

Customer picks countertops, flooring, appliances, and more.

Build

Customer watches home be built! Once the building permits have been received, the build takes about 6-7 months.

Georgen Homes walks through home with extensive checklist to make sure everything works correctly, and is finished correctly.

Georgen Homes and customer walk through the finished home to look for blemishes, answer customer questions, teach customer how to use appliances.

Georgen Homes corrects the punch list of remaining items.

Customer meets with closing agent to close on the purchase of the home.

Customer moves in!

Your Georgen Home has a 1-year warranty should any issues arise.
